Retrieve All Project Proposals

retrieve_all_project_proposals_company
Read-onlyIdempotent

Fetch all project proposals for a given company and project. Returns paginated estimating records with full details.

Instructions

Retrieve all project proposals. Use this to fetch the full details of a specific Estimating records by its identifier. Returns a paginated JSON array of Estimating records. Use page and per_page to control pagination; the response includes pagination metadata. Required parameters: company_id, project_id. Procore API (v2.0): Preconstruction > Estimating. Endpoint: GET /rest/v2.0/companies/{company_id}/projects/{project_id}/estimating/proposals

Input Schema

TableJSON Schema
NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
company_idYesURL path parameter — unique company identifier associated with the Procore User Account.

pageNoQuery string parameter — page number for paginated results (default: 1)
per_pageNoQuery string parameter — number of items per page (default: 100, max: 100)
Behavior3/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnlyHint=true and destructiveHint=false. The description adds behavioral context on pagination (page, per_page) and mentions that the response includes pagination metadata. This adds value beyond annotations, but does not thoroughly describe response structure or error behaviors.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The description is reasonably concise but contains a redundant contradictory sentence that could be removed. The essential information (purpose, pagination, required params) is present but not optimally front-loaded due to the inconsistency.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness3/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

Given the tool's simplicity, the description covers pagination and endpoint details. However, it lacks information about the response format beyond 'paginated JSON array', and does not describe any filtering capabilities or search options that might be relevant.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so the schema already documents parameters. The description adds value by explaining the purpose of page and per_page ('control pagination') and reiterating required parameters. This enhances understanding beyond the schema alone.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose3/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The description states 'Retrieve all project proposals' which clearly indicates the tool retrieves a list. However, it then contradicts itself by saying 'fetch the full details of a specific Estimating records by its identifier', creating confusion about whether this tool returns all or one specific record. This inconsistency lowers clarity.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines2/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

The description provides context like required parameters and the API endpoint, but fails to guide when to use this tool versus sibling tools like retrieve_a_project_proposal_by_id_company or retrieve_all_project_proposals_company_v2_0. No exclusions or alternatives are mentioned.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
