Get Project Tasks

get_project_tasks_company_v2_0
Read-onlyIdempotent

Retrieve paginated bid board project tasks by providing company and project identifiers.

Instructions

Get project tasks. Use this to fetch the full details of a specific Bid Board records by its identifier. Returns a paginated JSON array of Bid Board records. Use page and per_page to control pagination; the response includes pagination metadata. Required parameters: company_id, bid_board_project_id. Procore API (v2.0): Preconstruction > Bid Board. Endpoint: GET /rest/v2.0/companies/{company_id}/estimating/bid_board_projects/{bid_board_project_id}/tasks

per_pageNoQuery string parameter — number of items per page (default: 100, max: 100)
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already mark it as read-only, idempotent, and open-world. The description adds value by detailing pagination (page, per_page), required parameters, and the exact endpoint path. No contradictions.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Four sentences, front-loaded with the main purpose, efficient. Could be slightly more concise by removing redundant info like the endpoint path, but overall well-structured.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness3/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With no output schema, the description explains paginated JSON array with metadata. However, it does not describe the fields of individual task records beyond 'full details', leaving some ambiguity.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100% with descriptions. The description repeats parameter names and required status but adds no new semantics beyond what the schema already provides.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The description clearly states the tool fetches project tasks (BidBoard records) by identifier, using a specific API version (v2.0). It differentiates from v1.0 siblings by version, but could further clarify distinction from the single-task endpoint.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines2/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

The description says 'Use this to fetch the full details' but does not specify when not to use it or mention alternatives like the single-task endpoint. There is no guidance on context or limitations.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
