audit_power_port_orientation
Checks schematic power-symbol orientations against convention—grounds facing down, power bars facing up—and reports each flipped or sideways symbol by sheet so you can fix editing accidents before review.
Instructions
Check that schematic power-symbol orientations follow the standard convention so reviewers' eyes can scan the sheet quickly.
Rules:
Ground symbols (
ePowerGndPower,ePowerGndSignal,ePowerGndEarth) MUST face down (Orientation = 270deg).Power bars (
ePowerBar, used for VCC/VDD/V+ rails) MUST face up (Orientation = 90deg).
Stylistic but high signal: a flipped ground symbol or a sideways rail is invariably an editing accident, and one violation can hide a real wiring issue under it because the eye keeps wanting to fix the orientation first.
Returns:
Dict with:
- checked: total power-symbols inspected (grounds + bars)
- violations: count with wrong orientation
- items: list of {text, style, expected, actual, sheet}
