conduyt_fromk_webhook_secret

Stores or clears the FromK.ai webhook signing secret so Conduyt accepts replies and delivery reports; without it, those events are refused.

Instructions

Store (PUT /api/v1/settings/fromk/webhook) or forget (DELETE, clear: true) the signing secret of the FromK.ai webhook endpoint the tenant pointed at Conduyt (whsec_…, shown once by FromK.ai when the endpoint is created). Until it is stored, FromK.ai replies and delivery reports are refused. 409 fromk_not_configured before the key is connected. Requires settings:edit.

Input Schema

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
clearNotrue = forget the stored secret (DELETE)
secretNothe endpoint's signing secret; required unless clear is true

TDQS

A4.5/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

With no annotations, the description carries the behavioral burden well: it discloses the PUT/DELETE behavior, the secret format and one-time display, the operational consequence of not storing it, a prerequisite error, and required permission. It stops short of describing idempotency or response behavior.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness5/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loads the two actions, then adds only necessary operational context. The API paths and error details earn their place by clarifying behavior.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a two-parameter mutation tool with no output schema and no annotations, the description gives enough to call it correctly: purpose, modes, secret format, prerequisite error, permission requirement, and operational impact.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so a baseline of 3 is appropriate, but the description adds useful meaning: `clear: true` means forget via DELETE, and the secret is the whsec_ value shown once by FromK.ai when the endpoint is created.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific action and resource: store or forget the FromK.ai webhook signing secret. The two modes are clearly separated, and the tool is distinguishable from sibling FromK.ai connection/status tools.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explains the required state (key must be connected first), the consequence of not storing the secret (replies and delivery reports are refused), the 409 fromk_not_configured error, and the settings:edit permission. It does not explicitly point to the sibling tool used to connect FromK.ai first.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
