Get Usdc Topup Status

get_usdc_topup_status
Read-onlyIdempotent

Check whether a USDC top-up has been credited to your Porkbun balance, returning its state and current balance so you can retry the purchase that needed funds.

Instructions

Check a USDC top-up from top_up_with_usdc: state is ACTIVE (not paid yet), PROCESSING (paid, being credited), COMPLETED (credited: credited true), EXPIRED or FAILED. Also returns the current balance, so once COMPLETED you can retry the purchase that needed it.

TDQS

A4.3/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already cover read-only, idempotent, non-destructive, and closed-world behavior. The description adds useful status semantics (ACTIVE, PROCESSING, COMPLETED, EXPIRED, FAILED) and discloses that the current balance is returned, which goes beyond the annotations.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness5/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Two tightly written sentences with no filler. The status meanings are front-loaded and the key follow-up action (retry purchase once COMPLETED) is placed at the end.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a simple one-parameter read tool with no output schema, the description provides the necessary return-value context by explaining the possible `state` values and the balance. Nothing required for correct invocation or interpretation is missing.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, so the single `checkout_id` parameter is fully documented in the schema. The description reinforces its origin from `top_up_with_usdc` but adds no extra syntax or format detail beyond the schema.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb ('Check') and resource ('USDC top-up'), and explicitly ties the tool to the sibling `top_up_with_usdc`. The enumerated states make the resource and operation unambiguous.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Clearly indicates the tool is used after `top_up_with_usdc` and explains how to act on a COMPLETED result. It does not explicitly mention when not to use it or point to alternatives like `get_balance`, but the context is clear.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
