# Week 7 Day 3 - Bevy Async Event Loop Fix

## Overview
Day 3 addressed the bevy async event loop limitation discovered during Day 2. While Day 2 successfully eliminated the `TypeError: issubclass()` by replacing string keys with `SessionPaths`, the instance manager tests revealed a different bevy limitation: `depends.get_sync()` cannot be called from within async contexts or during module imports because it internally tries to run `asyncio.run()`.
## Accomplishments
### ✅ Fixed Instance Manager Async Functions
**Files Modified:**
- `session_buddy/utils/instance_managers.py`
- `tests/unit/test_instance_managers.py`
**Problem:**
All 5 instance manager functions (`get_app_monitor()`, `get_llm_manager()`, `get_serverless_manager()`, `get_reflection_database()`, `get_interruption_manager()`) were calling `depends.get_sync()` from within async functions, which triggered:

**Solution:**
Replaced `depends.get_sync()` calls with direct bevy container access:

### ✅ Fixed Module-Level DI Resolution
**File Modified:** `session_buddy/tools/session_tools.py`
**Problem:**
The `_get_session_manager()` function was called at module level (line 82), triggering `depends.get_sync()` during import:

**Solution:**
Applied the same fix - check bevy container directly instead of using `depends.get_sync()`:

**Note on 4 Failures:**
The 4 failures are test isolation issues in `test_server.py` and `test_session_manager.py` - when run individually, all tests pass. This indicates pre-existing test isolation issues unrelated to the Week 7 DI refactoring.

## Technical Analysis
### Issue: Bevy Async Event Loop Limitation
**Root Cause:**
Bevy's `depends.get_sync()` internally calls `asyncio.run()`, which fails when:
1. Called from within an already-running event loop (async functions)
1. Called during module import in certain pytest scenarios
**Why This Happened:**
The original code used `await depends.get()` in async functions, which didn't trigger this issue. During Week 7 Day 2, we changed to `depends.get_sync()` in instance managers to avoid nested event loops, but this revealed bevy's limitation with `asyncio.run()`.
**Solution Pattern:**
Instead of using bevy's DI resolution methods (`depends.get()` or `depends.get_sync()`), we directly access the bevy container's `instances` dictionary:

### Insight 1: Bevy's Async Limitations
