Get the distribution queue

get_delivery_queue
Read-only

List distribution queue entries for your account, showing delivery status per release and outlet. Filter by release, outlet, or status to track pipeline progress.

Instructions

List the distribution queue entries for your account, paginated — one entry per (release, outlet) delivery with its current status (e.g. pending review, processing, scheduled, complete, error). Filter by release_id, outlet_id, or status. Use this to see where a release is in the delivery pipeline to each store.

Input Schema

release_idNoFilter to one release.
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnlyHint=true. Description adds pagination and filtering behavior, plus domain context without contradicting annotations.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness5/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Two sentences, front-loaded with action and key details, no fluff.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

Sufficient for a list tool: explains domain, filters, pagination. No output schema, but return values are implied by the description. Could mention default pagination but not necessary.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

60% schema coverage; description explains meaning of entries per delivery and mentions three filterable fields, adding value beyond schema. Missing page/per_page detail but overall strong.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

Clear verb (List), specific resource (distribution queue entries), and details (paginated, per delivery). Distinct from sibling list tools.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explicit use case ('see where a release is in the delivery pipeline') and filter options. No explicit when-not-to-use, but context is strong.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
