# Smart Diff Widget Testing Results
## Bug: Incomplete Summary Output
### Issue
When comparing JSON with multiple field changes, only some changes appeared in the summary:
- Before: `{"result": "1", "reason": null}`
- After: `{"result": "ok", "reason": "not dull"}`
- **Expected:** 2 modifications
- **Actual (before fix):** 1 modification (only `result`)
### Root Cause
DeepDiff classifies `null → "not dull"` as a **type change** rather than a **value change**. The `SemanticDiffEngine.compare_2way()` method was only processing:
- ✅ `values_changed`
- ✅ `dictionary_item_added`
- ✅ `dictionary_item_removed`
- ❌ `type_changes` **← MISSING!**
### Fix
Added processing for `type_changes` in `core/semantic_diff.py` (lines 268-278):
