# GitHub Repository Setup Instructions
## Quick Setup
Your repository is ready to push! Follow these steps:
### Option 1: Using GitHub CLI (Recommended)
1. **Authenticate with GitHub CLI:**
```bash
gh auth login
```
- Choose SSH or HTTPS
- Follow the prompts to authenticate
2. **Create the repository and push:**
```bash
gh repo create PROJECT-OVERSEER-MCP --public --source=. --remote=origin --push
```
### Option 2: Manual Setup
1. **Create the repository on GitHub:**
- Go to https://github.com/new
- Repository name: `PROJECT-OVERSEER-MCP`
- Choose Public or Private
- **DO NOT** initialize with README, .gitignore, or license (we already have these)
- Click "Create repository"
2. **Push your code:**
```bash
git push -u origin main
```
### Option 3: Using GitHub Web Interface
1. Create the repository at: https://github.com/new
2. Name: `PROJECT-OVERSEER-MCP`
3. After creation, GitHub will show you commands - use:
```bash
git remote add origin https://github.com/freqkflag/PROJECT-OVERSEER-MCP.git
git branch -M main
git push -u origin main
```
## Current Status
✅ Git repository initialized
✅ All files committed
✅ Branch renamed to `main`
✅ Remote configured: `https://github.com/freqkflag/PROJECT-OVERSEER-MCP.git`
## Next Steps After Push
1. Add repository description: "Phase-based project management MCP server"
2. Add topics: `mcp`, `overseer`, `project-management`, `typescript`
3. Create a release tag:
```bash
git tag v1.0.0
git push origin v1.0.0
```
