"glTF" matching MCP tools:

  • Download an IconScout asset for the user. This consumes their download quota — confirm before downloading. Pick a FORMAT the asset actually offers (its `formats`, from search / get_asset); default to the top of its type's priority (see the `format` param). Formats are either SOURCE files (svg/ai/eps/compressed-glb/glb/gltf/json/lottie — downloaded as-is) or DERIVED renders (png/gif/mp4). SIZE applies ONLY to derived renders, and only when the user ASKED for a specific one: pass width AND height TOGETHER (a width alone is ignored), otherwise OMIT both and the asset downloads at its own size. Never ask for a size up-front — offer alternatives after the download. Source files never take a size. NOTE: gif / mp4 are rendered on the fly and can take a bit longer — tell the user it's processing and don't retry on a slow response. FORMAT THE ASSET DOES NOT OFFER — do not refuse: convert_file with the asset `slug` + the wanted format produces it from the closest convertible source (e.g. a 3D asset as JPG via its PNG). Tell the user, e.g. "JPG isn't offered for this asset — converting its PNG to JPG." ACCESS — free assets download for anyone; a premium asset needs a subscription that covers THAT asset type (a 3D plan covers 3D, not icons). If the asset is not covered or they have hit their daily limit, this returns a clear message — relay it, do NOT retry. Check access / is_premium (from search) first. MANY ASSETS — download each with its type's default format (no per-asset questions); offer other formats/sizes once afterward. Each response lists the asset's `available_formats` (priority-ordered) and `size_options` (preset sizes per derived format) so you can offer alternatives without another lookup.

  • Import a Revit/BIM model into the Twinmotion visualization pipeline: downloads the source file from a public URL, uploads it to an APS OSS transient bucket, and kicks off an SVF2 + thumbnail translation job. Returns the base64 URN (project_id) used by every other tm_* tool. When to use: when a user wants to prepare a Revit (.rvt), IFC (.ifc), or other BIM/CAD model for real-time visualization in Unreal Engine / Twinmotion — typically the first step before rendering stills, defining scenes, or exporting FBX/glTF/OBJ geometry for a UE import. Also use when you need thumbnails or view metadata from a source file that has not yet been translated by APS. When NOT to use: not for MEP clash review (use navisworks-mcp), not for quantity takeoff or cost estimation (use qto-mcp), not for Twinmotion presets editing — Twinmotion itself has no public REST API, so scene/material authoring must happen manually in the UE editor after FBX/USD export. APS scopes required: data:read data:write data:create bucket:read bucket:create viewables:read. Uses Model Derivative API (translation) + OSS (upload). Twinmotion has no public REST API; all automation is APS Model Derivative + manual Unreal Engine export. Rate limits: APS default ~50 req/min per app per endpoint; Model Derivative translation jobs ~60 req/min; large .rvt/.nwd/.ifc files are often multi-GB and translation can take 5–60 min — poll the manifest with exponential backoff (start 5s, cap 60s) rather than retrying this tool. Worker request ceiling is ~100MB body; extremely large files may need signed-URL upload instead. Errors: 401 = APS token failed (check APS_CLIENT_ID/APS_CLIENT_SECRET, re-auth); 403 = scope missing (bucket:create/data:write not granted — have user re-consent); 404 = file_url unreachable; 409 = bucket key collision (rare — retry, tool uses timestamp); 413/507 = file too large for worker memory (advise signed-URL upload); 422 = unsupported source format (only Autodesk-accepted types: rvt, ifc, nwd, dwg, dgn, 3dm, stp, etc.); 429 = back off 60s before retrying; 5xx = APS upstream outage, retry with backoff. Side effects: CREATES a new transient OSS bucket (scanbim-viz-<timestamp>, auto-expires in 24h), CREATES an object in OSS, STARTS a translation job consuming APS cloud credits. NOT idempotent — each call creates a new bucket + URN. Writes a row to usage_log D1 table.

  • Put a file into the account's asset library and get back its /assets url to use in apply_ops (a glb on a geometry node as data {primitive:"imported", assetUrl}, an image in materialMaps or a webImage src, an mp3 in an audioClip: data.audioClip = {src, volume 0-1, loop, mode, muted} on any node; get_scene reports it as `audio`). A `url` may be a picture (JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, up to 12 MB), a binary glTF 2.0 model (.glb, up to 36 MB) or a sound (MP3, OGG, WAV, M4A, up to 12 MB); the type is read from the bytes. `assetId` instead copies a SHARED library asset (a list_assets row marked shared:true) into this account and returns the url to place; placing the copy keeps the page whole if the sharer removes theirs, and the same asset copied twice returns the first copy. Give ONE source: `url` (a public http(s) link, fetched by the server; use this for anything larger), `dataBase64` with `filename` (the file itself, up to about 3 MB on this hosted connector; bigger files go by `url` or the editor's upload), or (`path` is only available when the MCP runs on your own computer). A model gets its phone-sized copy made automatically, the same as an editor upload. Label it and give keywords so list_assets finds it again.

  • Run a Tripo3D post-process on an existing Popcraft 3D model: "convert_model" (export FBX/OBJ/STL/USDZ/GLTF/3MF, optional quad + face_limit + texture_size — the cheap way to get a Blender-friendly FBX (fbx_preset "blender") or a decimated mesh; the source is already a GLB, so use FBX/GLTF rather than GLB as the target), "highpoly_to_lowpoly" (retopologize to a low-poly game/rig-ready mesh, params quad/face_limit/bake), "refine_model" (upgrade a draft to higher detail), "texture_model" (re-texture with texture_prompt / style_image_url, texture_quality, pbr), "stylize_model" (style "lego" | "voxel" | "voronoi", block_size 32–128), "mesh_segmentation" (split into named parts), "mesh_completion" (fill holes; optional part_names). `source` is the `job_id` returned by `popcraft_generate_3d` / `popcraft_job_display`, or a 3D asset id from the /model-3d workspace — only Tripo-generated models can be post-processed. `params` is the per-operation object described above (omit for defaults). Set `get_cost:true` first to preflight the credit cost WITHOUT submitting — refine/stylize/completion/lowpoly are variable-cost and reconcile to Tripo's actual usage on completion. On success an interactive result card is shown and refreshes itself — do NOT poll; call `popcraft_job_display` at most once if no card is visible. The output is a new 3D asset (lineage-linked to the source) whose URL you can download or import into Blender. Never tell the user how long the job will take or quote any estimate of generation time — the result card shows progress.

  • Prepare a model for an animated walkthrough / video export by verifying the manifest is complete, then starting a secondary Model Derivative job that produces OBJ geometry (suitable for ingestion into offline rendering pipelines, Blender, or Unreal Engine). Also returns the list of available named views so the operator can stitch them into a camera path. Does NOT itself produce an mp4 — video encoding happens in the downstream UE/Twinmotion pipeline. When to use: when a user wants a walkthrough/flythrough video of a BIM model (e.g. 'make a 30-second tour of Tower A') — this tool gets the geometry into a UE-ingestible form (.obj, plus suggests FBX/glTF/USD naming like TowerA_walkthrough.fbx for the exported asset) and enumerates named views to guide camera path authoring. When NOT to use: not to actually encode video (no runtime renderer in this worker — output must be finished in Unreal/Twinmotion/Blender), not before tm_import_rvt, not if the manifest is still 'inprogress' (the tool will short-circuit and return status='pending'). Not for still images (use tm_render_image) or clash animations (use navisworks-mcp). APS scopes required: data:read data:write viewables:read. Write scopes are needed because this kicks off a new Model Derivative translation job (OBJ + thumbnail). Rate limits: APS default ~50 req/min; Model Derivative translation jobs ~60 req/min. OBJ derivatives of large BIM models can be multi-GB and take 10–45 min — rely on manifest polling with exponential backoff, not re-calling this tool. Errors: 401/403 = token/scope (data:write commonly missing); 404 = URN not found; 409 = OBJ derivative already queued (treat as success); 422 = input format does not support OBJ output (some IFC variants / proprietary formats — fall back to FBX/glTF via a different derivative format); 429 = back off 60s; 5xx = APS upstream. Side effects: STARTS a new translation job on an existing URN (consumes APS cloud credits). Writes usage_log. NOT idempotent per-call (each call creates a new job record), but APS will dedupe identical output requests internally if manifest already contains the derivative.

  • Auto-detect geometry file format and extract metadata statistics. Accepts a 3D geometry file via URL or base64 and returns structured metadata: bounding boxes, triangle counts, manifold analysis, point cloud statistics, and more. This is a read-only analysis tool — it does not perform mesh repair, format conversion, or boolean operations. Supported formats: STL, OBJ, PLY, PCD, LAS/LAZ, glTF/GLB. STEP and IGES support is planned. Provide either file_url (preferred for large files) or file_b64 (for files under 200KB). Include filename for format detection if using file_b64. When using file_url, the format is detected from the URL path extension; filename is not required. Files under 150KB are free. Larger files cost $0.02/MB via x402 (USDC on Base) or card via MPP (Stripe; adds $0.35 surcharge). If payment is required, the response includes payment details. Retry with the payment argument containing the payment proof. Privacy policy: https://caliper.fit/privacy

  • Choose the appropriate 3D2HOLO workflow when the user wants to turn existing visual content into a lenticular 3D photo but is unsure how to proceed. Use this tool when the user has a specific source such as a single photo, multi-angle photos, a GLB/GLTF 3D model, a Sketchfab model, or AI-generated multi-view images. The tool explains the recommended workflow and required next steps. Use it before giving workflow instructions when the user's input type is known. Do not use it for general product information, print-parameter calculations, LPI calibration, or price quotes.

  • Identify a file format from an extension, filename, or slug (e.g. 'step', 'scan.mcap', 'gltf') and get how to open or convert it: what it stores, its extensions/MIME/spec, whether a free in-browser viewer exists, and available client-side conversions. Use for 'what is this file' / 'how do I open X'.

  • Generate a 3D model (glTF/GLB) in the user's Xenition workspace from a text prompt or a reference image. Starts generation and returns immediately; an interactive inline preview fills in as it renders (~30-60s, longer for 'realistic'), plus a link to open, edit, and export it (GLB/STL/OBJ) in Xenition. Use when the user asks for a 3D model, mesh, or asset. Best for a single object.

  • Extract metadata from a glTF or GLB file. Returns asset info, scene graph structure, mesh/material/texture counts, vertex and index totals, feature flags (normals, tangents, texcoords, colors, joints), primitive modes, and extensions. Payment via x402 (USDC on Base) or card via MPP (Stripe). See format_auto for payment flow details. Privacy policy: https://caliper.fit/privacy

  • Create a direct upload handle for an asset file. Returns an expiring authorized PUT URL. Allowed: .blend .glb .gltf .obj .stl .png .jpg .jpeg .ttf .otf .woff .woff2. Use purpose=font for a typeface, then asset_import it — the font becomes a datablock this project's text.create/text.set_font can name, which is the only way to get branded lettering onto a dial or a label (the built-in Bfont is otherwise the only option).

  • A served league video's generator scene kit: JSON, clay glTF, camera, light, beats, ledger buckets and C35 model adapters. A served league video's id or post link: reads its precompiled scene kit. The default summary keeps every source shot clock, keep/lift/free with evidence, export links, and each model's segment_count and first request (for_model=true). Read detail='full' for the unchanged complete legacy kit and all model requests. The full scene_kit.v0 has versioned OpenCV cameras, lens, trajectories, depth, light, beats, cuts and ledger buckets, a clay glTF export and four C35 adapters. Public identity is nr; the private twin joint uses only the owner's own likeness-consented assets, never league likeness. No analysis, generation, identity IO or spending runs in this request.
