Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.
| Name | Required | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| NEXTMCP_TOKEN | Yes | Bearer token used by the MCP client to authenticate to the NextMCP server endpoint (default http://127.0.0.1:8321/mcp). This must match the auth.bearer_token set in the server's config/config.yaml. The server itself is configured via a YAML file passed with --config, not via environment variables. |
