Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| EU5_RAKALY | No | Set EU5_RAKALY to the full executable path of rakaly.exe if needed. | |
| EU5_MCP_PORT | No | Port for the local Streamable HTTP mode (e.g. $env:EU5_MCP_PORT = "8765"). The local MCP endpoint is http://127.0.0.1:<port>/mcp. | |
| EU5_SAVE_DIR | No | Path to the EU5 save games directory. By default this reads %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis V\save games. Set EU5_SAVE_DIR if saves are elsewhere (including OneDrive). | |
| EU5_MCP_TRANSPORT | No | Transport mode for the MCP server. Set to 'streamable-http' to run in local Streamable HTTP mode (e.g. $env:EU5_MCP_TRANSPORT = "streamable-http"). Defaults to stdio. |
