Una herramienta que envuelve la CLI de MuseScore como un servidor del Protocolo de Contexto de Modelo (MCP), permitiendo a Claude AI convertir, editar y analizar archivos de partituras directamente.


Propósito

Permite que Claude AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, etc.) maneje archivos de partituras de MuseScore (.mscz, .musicxml, MIDI, etc.) mediante comandos en lenguaje natural.

Requisitos

  • Python 3.10 o superior

  • MuseScore 4 (o MuseScore 3) instalado

    • Windows: musescore.org o Microsoft Store

    • Si la ruta de instalación no es la estándar, especifique la ruta del ejecutable en la variable de entorno MSCORE_PATH


Instalación

1. Clonar el repositorio

2. Crear entorno virtual e instalar paquetes

3. Registrar el servidor MCP

Para macOS / Linux, cambie command a .venv/bin/musescore-mcp.

Tras guardar la configuración, reinicie Claude para conectar el servidor musescore.


Uso

Simplemente adjunte un archivo de partitura o indique su ruta mientras conversa con Claude. Claude llamará internamente a las herramientas MCP.

Purpose

musescore-mcp is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that wraps the MuseScore CLI, enabling Claude AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, etc.) to convert, edit, and analyze music score files through natural language commands.

    • If installed to a non-standard path, set the MSCORE_PATH environment variable to the executable path


Installation

1. Clone the repository

2. Create a virtual environment and install

Restart Claude after saving the config to connect the server.


Usage

Attach a score file in your Claude conversation or describe its path, and ask in natural language. Claude will call the appropriate MCP tools automatically.
