Job Search MCP Server

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that lets Claude search AI/ML jobs across Greenhouse, Lever, and Adzuna—plus resume tailoring and referral outreach.

1. Clone the Repository

git clone https://github.com/YOUR_USERNAME/apply_jobs.git
cd apply_jobs

Replace YOUR_USERNAME with the actual GitHub username or organization.

2. Install Dependencies

This project uses uv as the package manager.

# Install uv if you don't have it
pip install uv

# Install project dependencies
uv sync

3. Get Adzuna API Credentials (Optional but Recommended)

Adzuna powers broader job search (Indeed, Monster, etc.). Free signup:

1. Go to https://developer.adzuna.com/

2. Sign up and create an app

3. Copy your App ID and API Key

4. Connect to Claude Desktop

Add this MCP server to your Claude Desktop config.

Config file locations:

• Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json

• macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Important: Replace C:\\path\\to\\apply_jobs with the actual path where you cloned the repo (e.g. C:\\Users\\YourName\\apply_jobs). Use double backslashes on Windows.

Restart Claude Desktop after saving the config.

5. Use It in Claude

Once connected, you can ask Claude things like:

Job search

• "Search for AI Engineer jobs at Anthropic and Scale"

• "Find Machine Learning jobs in San Francisco"

• "Show me remote Data Scientist positions"

• "Get the full job description for this URL: [paste link]"

Resume tailoring
