containers_create

Creates a persistent Firefox container with a chosen name, color, and icon, returning container metadata as JSON. Requires a profile_id obtained from profiles_list.

Instructions

Create a persistent Firefox container. Return JSON container metadata. Duplicate names are permitted. Firefox validates color and icon.

profile_id is required: obtain it from profiles_list. All object IDs are local to that profile; never reuse them in another profile.

TDQS

A4.8/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

With no annotations, the description carries the full burden and performs exceptionally well. It discloses return type ('Return JSON container metadata'), constraint behaviors ('Duplicate names are permitted'), and internal validation rules ('Firefox validates color and icon').

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness5/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The text is highly condensed, using every sentence to deliver a crucial piece of operational knowledge. It is concise without sacrificing necessary detail.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

The definition is complete for an agent. It covers data creation, return format, operational constraints, and the scope/validity of object identifiers, leaving no ambiguity for invocation.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters5/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

The description adds significant semantic value beyond the schema. It specifies the dependency of 'profile_id' on 'profiles_list' and explains the global scope constraint regarding object IDs being local to a specific profile.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The description clearly states the purpose is to create a persistent Firefox container. It is specific, differentiating itself from other list or update tools in the container family.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

It provides excellent usage guidance by stating that duplicate names are permitted. It also sets a critical prerequisite by stating that profile_id must be obtained from profiles_list.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
