Leo's wallpaper generator doesn't do this itself — it resolves a provider and asks that. This server is one, reachable as a package the hub installs at runtime rather than one it has to be rebuilt for.
The wallpaper role in leo_mcp::providers:

keys, verbatim and lower-case — only the keys the descriptor declares in
entitlements.settings_read and the owner consented to, never the whole

Note the key is unsplash_access_key, not *_api_key — it matches the
compiled package's settings key.
With nothing configured the tool returns isError naming the setting. That is
deliberate: an empty answer would reach Leo as a real result.

The registry entry must name a full 40-character commit SHA. A tag reads as equally specific and is not — it can be moved after the entry is reviewed.
