Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.
| Name | Required | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| config | No | Path to a config.local.json file passed via --config. Configuration paths resolve relative to that file. | |
| profiles | No | JSON array of enabled profiles (e.g. ["read", "verify"]). Valid profiles include read, verify, operator, node, write, sign, local. Profiles are checked when listing and invoking tools. | |
| signer_files | No | JSON object mapping signer references to key file paths, e.g. {"issuer": "keys/issuer.key"}. Required together with signer_permissions for offline signing. | |
| authority_url | No | URL of the Genesis Mesh Network Authority, e.g. https://your-authority.example. Optional; offline verification works without an authority. | |
| node_key_file | No | Path to the node key file for dedicated node identity operations. | |
| max_input_bytes | No | Maximum input artifact size in bytes. Defaults to 1 MiB. Oversized artifacts are refused, never truncated. | |
| operator_key_id | No | Operator key identifier used with operator_key_file. | |
| timeout_seconds | No | Socket inactivity and streamed-body elapsed check timeout; not a hard process or CPU deadline. | |
| max_output_bytes | No | Maximum output artifact size in bytes. Defaults to 4 MiB. | |
| executor_key_file | No | Path to the executor key file, also used for edge enrollment. | |
| operator_key_file | No | Path to the operator key file (core base64 key-file format) for operator-authenticated authority operations. | |
| signer_permissions | No | JSON object mapping each signer reference to an exact tool allowlist, e.g. {"issuer": ["gm_offline_freshness_issue_freshness_proof"]}. No wildcard permissions. | |
| allow_http_loopback | No | Boolean ("true"/"false"). HTTP is allowed only for explicitly enabled loopback development, e.g. "true". | |
| authority_public_key | No | Independently obtained authority public key. |
