# SR P3 MCP Server - Project Summary
## Overview
A production-ready Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides access to Sveriges Radio's P3 channel music playlists. Built with TypeScript, designed for reliability and security.

## Tool Specifications
### 1. get_p3_current_playlist
- **Parameters**: None
- **Returns**: Current, previous, and next songs
- **Response Format**: JSON with songs array and metadata
### 2. search_p3_playlist_by_date
- **Parameters**:
- date (required): ISO 8601 date or range
- artist_filter (optional): Artist name filter
- limit (optional): Max results (default: 25, max: 100)
- **Validation**:
- Date within last 90 days
- No future dates
- Valid ISO 8601 format
- **Returns**: Array of songs with metadata

## Known Limitations
1. **Date Range**: Limited to last 90 days (API constraint)
2. **Rate Limiting**: Per-instance (not global across instances)
3. **Transport**: stdio only (no HTTP server)
4. **Channel**: P3 only (565) - as designed
