# PostgreSQL Password Configuration ✅
## Password Set: 6 Spaces
The PostgreSQL password has been configured as **6 spaces** (` `) across all services.
## Files Updated
1. ✅ `dashboard-server.js` - Default password set to 6 spaces
2. ✅ `start-services.sh` - Password environment variable set
3. ✅ `run-dashboard.sh` - Password environment variable set
## How to Start Services
### Option 1: Use the Startup Script
```bash
./start-services.sh
```
This will automatically use the 6-space password.
### Option 2: Manual Start
```bash
# Set password (6 spaces)
export POSTGRES_PASSWORD=' '
# Initialize database
node init-db.js
# Start dashboard
./run-dashboard.sh
```
### Option 3: Inline Password
```bash
POSTGRES_PASSWORD=' ' POSTGRES_HOST=localhost node dashboard-server.js
```
## Testing Connection
```bash
# Test health
curl http://localhost:3000/api/health
# Test statistics (should work now)
curl http://localhost:3000/api/statistics
```
## Notes
- Password is exactly **6 spaces** (not 5, not 7)
- All scripts now use this password automatically
- Dashboard will default to this password if not specified
## Troubleshooting
If connection still fails:
1. Verify password is exactly 6 spaces:
```bash
echo -n " " | wc -c
# Should output: 6
```
2. Test PostgreSQL connection directly:
```bash
PGPASSWORD=' ' psql -h localhost -U postgres -d bugbounty -c "SELECT 1;"
```
3. Check dashboard logs:
```bash
tail -f dashboard-server.log
```
## All Set! ✅
The password configuration is complete. The dashboard should now connect to PostgreSQL successfully.
