# Test Timeout Resolution - Complete Summary
## Problem Solved
**Original Issue**: Test suite appeared to "timeout" after ~33 seconds when run via crackerjack
**Root Cause**: Single failing test in `test_advanced_features.py` causing pytest to stop execution
**Resolution**: Fixed DI container type conflict by using `get_session_logger()` helper instead of direct `depends.get_sync(SessionLogger)`
## Root Cause Analysis
### The Core Issue: Bevy DI Type Confusion
ACB's logger adapter registers a string key `"logger"` in the bevy DI container. When our code tried to resolve `SessionLogger` via `depends.get_sync(SessionLogger)`, bevy's dependency resolution system encountered both:
1. The class `SessionLogger` (what we requested)
1. The string `"logger"` (from ACB's logger registration)
Bevy attempted to check if `SessionLogger` is a subclass of `"logger"` (string), which caused:

### Why This Appeared as a Timeout
The "timeout" was actually pytest stopping on first failure (`-x` flag), not an actual timeout:
- **Test execution order**: `test_advanced_features.py` ran early (alphabetically)
- **Early failure**: Worktree test failed immediately
- **Perception**: Crackerjack interpreted early termination as timeout
## Solution Implemented
### Fix #1: Use Type-Safe Helper Function (Primary Fix - APPLIED)
**File**: `session_buddy/advanced_features.py` (Lines 661, 717, 767)
**Change**: Replace direct DI access with helper function
**Before**:

- **Error**: `TypeError: Cannot check if <class 'session_buddy.utils.logging.SessionLogger'> is a subclass of logger`
- **Impact**: Pytest stopped early, appearing as "timeout"
### After Fix
- **✅ All 3 worktree tests pass** in 2.88 seconds
- **✅ 1,649 of 1,652 tests pass** (99.82% pass rate)
- **⚠️ 3 unrelated test failures** (see below)
