# GitHub Quick Start Your code is committed and ready to push to GitHub! ## ✅ Current Status - ✅ Git repository initialized - ✅ Initial commit created (88 files, 11,276+ lines) - ✅ Branch renamed to `main` - ✅ All files staged and committed ## 🚀 Create GitHub Repository ### Option 1: Automated Script (Recommended) Run the setup script: ```powershell .\setup-github.ps1 ``` This script will: - Guide you through creating the repository - Add the remote - Push your code ### Option 2: Manual Setup #### Step 1: Create Repository on GitHub 1. **Go to GitHub:** - Visit: https://github.com/new - Or click the "+" icon → "New repository" 2. **Repository Settings:** - **Name:** `fccs-mcp-ag-server` - **Description:** `Oracle FCCS Agentic MCP Server using Google ADK` - **Visibility:** Public or Private (your choice) - **⚠️ IMPORTANT:** Do NOT check: - ❌ Add a README file - ❌ Add .gitignore - ❌ Choose a license (We already have these files!) 3. **Click "Create repository"** #### Step 2: Connect and Push After creating the repository, GitHub will show you commands. Use these: ```powershell # Add remote (replace YOUR_USERNAME with your GitHub username) git remote add origin https://github.com/YOUR_USERNAME/fccs-mcp-ag-server.git # Push to GitHub git push -u origin main ``` **If you get authentication errors:** ```powershell # Configure credential helper git config --global credential.helper wincred # Then try push again git push -u origin main ``` You'll be prompted for: - **Username:** Your GitHub username - **Password:** Use a Personal Access Token (not your password) - Create token: https://github.com/settings/tokens - Select scope: `repo` ## 📋 Quick Commands ```powershell # Check status git status # View commits git log --oneline # Check remote git remote -v # Push changes git push origin main # Pull changes git pull origin main ``` ## 🎯 After Pushing 1. **Visit your repository:** - Go to: `https://github.com/YOUR_USERNAME/fccs-mcp-ag-server` 2. **Configure repository:** - Add description: "Oracle FCCS Agentic MCP Server using Google ADK" - Add topics: `oracle-epm`, `fccs`, `mcp`, `python`, `fastapi`, `claude-desktop` - Add website URL (if applicable) 3. **Optional settings:** - Branch protection rules - GitHub Actions CI/CD - Collaborators - Secrets for CI/CD ## 🔐 Authentication ### Using Personal Access Token 1. Go to: https://github.com/settings/tokens 2. Click "Generate new token" → "Generate new token (classic)" 3. Name: `fccs-mcp-server` 4. Select scope: `repo` (full control) 5. Generate and copy token 6.
