{"id": 0, "content": "So far, all we know about the potential minimum and maximum security West Dapto prison is that it will be located somewhere on a giant slab of Kembla Grange land.\nWith an eight kilometre perimeter and a land size about 40 hectares greater than what will soon be Australia's largest prison, being built at Grafton, this has flummoxed many in the Wollongong community.\nA Mercury analysis of the site – which comprises five separate landholdings – may help to reveal more about the shape of the jail.\nDespite scarce information, the most likely location for the bulk of the prison infrastructure could be on the north-eastern portion of a 48 hectare site along West Dapto Road. Owned by BlueScope and farthest from current and future West Dapto homes, this land is mostly zoned for heavy industry.\nThis matches statements made by Kiama MP Gareth Ward, who said it would be \"nowhere near residences, it's part of an industrial area\".\nThe prison infrastructure may also cross into a site at 261 West Dapto Road, also owned by BlueScope, which includes a large tract of light industrial land edged by environmental zones.\nWest of West Dapto Road – which has been earmarked for a $13.3 million council upgrade in the next three years to make it a major northern entry into the housing development area – lies the largest allotment: 84 Sheaffes Road, again owned by BlueScope. This 89 hectare site comprises conservation and environmental land, which surrounds a patch of industrial area and neighbours an area of low density residential land.\nIt is unclear how the prison would affect access to the road, and to what extent it would continue west towards the housing estates under construction at Paynes Road.\nHowever, if it was to look anything like the Grafton facility, high security sections to lock away prisoners could be separated by parkland, sports yards and rows of trees.\nThe other two smaller lots included in the Corrective Services map of the potential prison site are part of Kembla Grange Golf Course, owned by Dapto Leagues Club, and a cemetery owned by the Catholic church."} {"id": 1, "content": "Nassau ist eine Gemarkung in Meißen im Landkreis Meißen, Sachsen.\n\nGeographie\nNassau liegt in der gleichnamigen Landschaft, die sich zwischen Meißen und Weinböhla erstreckt. Es gehört zum rechtselbischen, nordöstlichen Meißner Stadtgebiet. Benachbarte Stadtteile in Meißen sind Bohnitzsch im Westen und Zaschendorf im Süden. Östlich benachbart ist Niederau, nördlich der Niederauer Ortsteil Gröbern.\n\nZentrum der Gemarkung ist die im Volksmund sogenannte Milchinsel, in früherer Zeit ein großer Gutshof. Nassau liegt auf einer Höhe von im äußersten Nordwesten des Elbtalkessels. Die Elbe fließt drei Kilometer weiter südlich auf der anderen Seite des Spaargebirges. An den ÖPNV ist Nassau durch die Buslinien C, 408 und 421 der Verkehrsgesellschaft Meißen angebunden. Wichtigste Straße ist die Niederauer Straße, die Meißen mit Niederau verbindet. Im Südwesten von Nassau liegt das Plattenbaugebiet am Albert-Mücke-Ring.\n\nGeschichte\nEine Urkunde von 1255 erwähnt einen \"Hug de Nassowe\" (Hugo von Nassau). Dies ist die älteste bekannte Nennung von \"Nassau\" und Grund zur Annahme, dass sich zu dieser Zeit ein Herrensitz im Ort befand. Elf Jahre später findet sich ein \"Tammo de Nazowe\" in den Annalen. Vom 15. bis 17. Jahrhundert sind weitere Erwähnungen belegt, darunter \"Nassow\", \"Nassaw\", \"Nassa\", \"Naße\" und \"Nossa\". \"Naßa, eine also genannte Flur bey Weinböhle, so meist in Wiesen besteht\", ist für 1791 verbürgt. Im Jahr 1875 sind gleichermaßen \"Nassau\" und \"Milchinsel\" in Gebrauch. Der Ortsname ist deutschen Ursprungs und selbsterklärend. Er bedeutet schlicht \"Siedlung in der wasserreichen, nassen Aue\".\n\nIn Nassau befand sich in früherer Zeit eine Wasserburg, auf der einer Sage zufolge ein Raubritter aus dem Hause Karras saß. Im Jahr 1513 wurde ein Allodium in Nassau erwähnt, 1516 und 1621 dann ein Vorwerk des Schlosses Proschwitz. Die Grundherrschaft übte jedoch zunächst das Kloster Altzella aus, 1791 war Nassau amtsunmittelbar. Die Verwaltung des überwiegend von einer Wiesenflur umgebenen Ortes oblag in jenem Jahr dem Erbamt Meißen; er kam danach zur Amtshauptmannschaft Meißen, aus der der gleichnamige Landkreis hervorging. Der zu kleine Ort Nassau – 1406 lebten vier Gärtner im Ort, 1875 gab es lediglich noch vier Einwohner – war nie als Landgemeinde eigenständig. Die Gutsblockflur umfasste 1839 etwa 82 Hektar, 1875 gehörte das Vorwerk zu Bohnitzsch. Als dessen Ortsteil wurde es am 1. April 1914 nach Meißen eingemeindet.\n\nNach der Bodenreform in der Sowjetischen Besatzungszone übergaben die neuen Machthaber das ehemalige Vorwerk an eine Neubauernfamilie. Zu einem erneuten Besitzerwechsel kam es 1970. Das Wohnhaus wurde unmittelbar nach der Wende restauriert, die ruinösen Stallungen abgebrochen. An ihrer Stelle erfolgte 1990/91 der Neubau eines Hotels. Zuvor war am nahen Albert-Mücke-Ring zwischen 1976 und 1987 in zwei Etappen ein Neubaugebiet errichtet worden.\n\nLiteratur\n\nEinzelnachweise\n\nWeblinks\n\nPrivate Seite zur Nassauer Geschichte\n\nStadtteil von Meißen"} {"id": 2, "content": "/* vim: set et fdm=syntax sts=4 sw=4 ts=4 : */\n/**\n* Copyright © 2010 Saleem Abdulrasool <compnerd@compnerd.org>.\n* All rights reserved.\n*\n* Redistribution and use in source and binary forms, with or without modification,\n* are permitted provided that the following conditions are met:\n*\n* 1. He brought to the post considerable experience in marketing, management and an understanding of the power of information and technology and the difference that all of these combined, could make to the development of tourism in Jamaica. The closure of Eastern Air Lines and Pan American Airways, the Persian Gulf War, increased competition and the United States Travel Advisory issued on Jamaica in 1991, were just some of the obstacles that the Robert Stephens administration had to overcome. Never one to sit on the sidelines, however, he motivated his staff and took action, by launching an aggressive product improvement and marketing campaign, in an attempt to breathe new life into a besieged industry. Conscious of the power of the media, he sought to convert obstacles into opportunities and mounted a focused advertising campaign, to take advantage of a growing global television audience. He not only marketed the product in major traditional hubs such as North America and Europe, but boldly ventured into Latin America as well as Japan, a country already captivated by Jamaica's music. Robert Stephens understood the importance of the human element in the marketing mix and used familiarization tours, press trips and trade shows to break down the barriers of distance, culture and negative perceptions. These efforts were rewarded with a 60 per cent increase in air seats from Europe, growing interest in the island from Japan and Latin America, and an overall increase in arrivals for 1991 over 1990, Jamaica's best year up to that time. He will long be remembered for his emphasis on community involvement and his attempt to motivate people at all levels of society, to support the industry under the banner of the \"Tourism Coalition\". Despite the turbulence of the industry both locally and internationally, when he demitted office in 1992, Jamaica was firmly established on a growth path. The Jamaica Tourist Board honours Robert Stephens for the zeal and application which he brought to his office and his invaluable service to the industry. A tourism specialist consultant for the HEART NTA, Robert Stephens boasts over 30 years in senior man¬agement and consulting in Jamaica, Jordan, Ghana, Nigeria and the Caribbean. He is the conceptualizer of the Port Royal Heritage Tourism Development Project; a council member of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA) and a director of the Kingston City Centre Improvement Company. In the Gleaner article entitled 'Robert Stephens is… Boss of the Year', dated Wednesday, April 13, 2005, pages 10 & 11, ROBERT 'Bobby' Stephens copped prizes valued at over $250,000 and the coveted 2005-2006 All-Island Boss of the Year Award.\nJamaica Tourist Board\nStock Photo Library\nJamaica on the Web\nVisitjamaica Now\nVisitJamaica on\nVisitJamaicaNow on Twitter\nVisitJamaicaJTB\nTourism Action Club\nVisitJamaica on Instagram\nIndustry Affiliates\nTourism Product Development Company\nJamaica Hotel & Tourist Association\nCaribbean Tourism Organization\nJamaica Association of Villas & Apartments\nCruise Jamaica (PAJ)\nCaribbean Hotel Association\nCasino Gaming Commission"}
