# RAG Backend Integration Summary
## ✅ Implementation Complete
Successfully integrated the FastAPI RAG backend into the React frontend.
## Files Created
### 1. API Client
- **`src/api/ragClient.ts`**
- Axios-based client with automatic JWT attachment
- Handles 401 (logout) and 402 (quota exceeded)
- TypeScript types matching backend schemas
- Methods: `uploadDocument`, `getKBStats`, `searchKB`, `chat`, `getUsage`, `getLimits`, `getCostReport`
### 2. Toast System
- **`src/hooks/useToast.ts`** - Toast hook
- **`src/components/ToastContainer.tsx`** - Toast provider and container component

- File upload (PDF/DOCX/TXT/MD)

## Next Steps
1. **Set environment variable**: Add `VITE_RAG_API_URL` to `.env`
2. **Start backend**: Ensure RAG backend is running on port 8000
3. **Test integration**: Navigate to RAG pages and test functionality
4. **Verify JWT**: Ensure JWT contains `tenant_id` and `user_id` claims
