"dev.to" matching MCP tools:

  • Best-effort delete of a published post on the target platform. Side effects: makes an external HTTP DELETE or update request; DEV.to sets published=false (soft delete); platforms without a delete API return success=false without error. Non-idempotent — calling on an already-deleted URL may return a platform 404. Use post_unpublish to retract a live post; use post_status first to obtain the live_url; use post_publish to re-publish after an unpublish.

  • Connect a credential-based social account (telegram, bluesky, discord, wordpress, devto, hashnode, lemmy) directly, without a browser session. Call list_platforms with view=connect_link first to discover the exact credential fields the platform needs. Prefer scoped secrets: app passwords (Bluesky, WordPress), bot tokens (Telegram), webhook URLs (Discord), and API tokens (Dev.to, Hashnode) over primary passwords. Warn the user that any credential they share passes through this conversation. For OAuth platforms (Instagram, X, LinkedIn, ...) use create_connect_session instead.

  • Create a social media post: schedule it (explicit time or next free slot), publish immediately, or save it as a draft. Media must be public URLs — use upload_media first for reliable hosting. Media is REQUIRED for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest, except for drafts. Instagram: one photo is a feed post, one video a Reel, and 2 to 10 files (photos and videos, in order) a carousel whose photos are all cropped to the first photo's shape. Facebook Pages take up to 10 photos in one post, or one video. LinkedIn posts one MP4 video alone, or turns 2 to 20 photos into a carousel (a PDF document, one page per photo, all cropped to the first photo's shape, titled with the first line), and posts a PDF URL as a document. Pinterest also requires pinterestBoardId (use list_pinterest_boards), and takes one image or one MP4/MOV video; an image sent with the video becomes its cover. WordPress, Ghost, Dev.to and Hashnode publish an article: the first line of content is its title, the rest the body in Markdown, the first photo the cover image (Dev.to and Hashnode don't take videos; Hashnode needs Hashnode Pro on the blog). Tumblr posts the text with up to 30 photos or one video. articleSettings sets their tags, canonical URL, draft, Ghost newsletter and Dev.to AI disclosure. Google Business Profile posts a "What's new" update on the location: up to 1,500 characters and one photo (no video), with an optional button set in googleBusinessSettings. scheduledAt is interpreted in the workspace timezone.

  • USE WHEN any launch action carries a manualFallback brief — either because the channel has no automated provider at all (Product Hunt, Hacker News, Reddit, Discord, Slack, Indie Hackers, dev.to, YC Bookface, blog) OR because the channel HAS an automated provider but its connector isn't wired yet for this workspace (LinkedIn / X without a Zernio key; email without a Resend key + verified sender domain). Pattern: use the inline fallback NOW to ship the launch manually; connect the provider LATER (each fallback returns an upgradePath with the exact connector wiring) so the same action publishes automatically on the next launch. Returns: paste-ready title + body, per-channel checklist (best time, format, first-comment script), capture-URL-after instruction, measurement template for the 24h readback, and the optional upgradePath when automation is available. Converts a 'blocked' channel into a 5-minute human-in-the-loop ship. Approval-gated upstream: the originating publishAction must already be 'approved' on the reviewUrl before this tool returns the brief.

  • Fetch the latest QA & AI/LLM articles aggregated from curated RSS sources (Google Testing Blog, DEV.to Testing/QA/AI/LLM/Agents, Hugging Face Blog, Simon Willison). Perfect for agents monitoring the QA & AI landscape. Each article carries summary_source — the XML tag the summary was read from, or "none" when the feed publishes titles and links only; an empty summary with summary_source "none" is a property of that feed, not a parse failure.

  • Check how much I have earned and what is pending. Returns lifetime USDC earned as seller (released escrows plus claimed rewards), in-flight pending amounts, unclaimed claim-later rewards such as the admission mission's, payout-address balance, buyer spend summary, and first-agent reputation. Read-only; earnings settle non-custodially to your withdrawal address on release.

  • Create a link where the user, or a client of theirs, connects social media accounts to a workspace without a Breakreach login: Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Pinterest, Bluesky, Reddit, Telegram, Discord, Slack, Mastodon, WordPress, Ghost, Dev.to, Hashnode, Tumblr or Google Business Profile (one account per business location). Give the URL to the person to open in a browser. It works for 24 hours unless expiresInHours says otherwise. Call list_accounts afterwards to get the new account ids.

  • Verify an article against the primary source (Dev.to): does the owner have a published article matching the query? Fetches the live Dev.to API for the owner's articles and returns the real title/date/reactions/url when found — or an honest 'not found'. Use it to ground claims like 'he wrote about agent memory' in the platform's data instead of the portfolio's own words. Read-only, open world (network fetch).
