  • Calculate true landed cost for China-to-US/EU imports: volumetric weight (air /6000, freight), destination port charges (CFS/doc fees), customs duty risk incl HS-code misclassification (12% error rate, 18-month retroactive). Use before budgeting any import order to avoid 40-80% hidden overpayments on light bulky goods. Input: weight (kg), dimensions (cm), goods value (USD), shipping mode (air/sea). Estimates only, not a customs quote.

  • Get the current air quality for a city, from real-time monitoring and atmospheric model data. Use for any "what's the air quality in X", "is it safe to go outside in Y", "how polluted is Z" style question, or whenever pollen/smog/wildfire-smoke/pollution conditions are relevant to a plan (running, cycling, sensitive-groups advice, travel). `city` is a free-text place name (e.g. "Bangkok", "Berlin", "Springfield, US"). Returns a dict with: - `location`: resolved place name/country/admin1 - `us_aqi`: the current US Air Quality Index (0-500+) - `aqi_category`: plain-language category computed from `us_aqi` -- "Good" (0-50), "Moderate" (51-100), "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" (101-150), "Unhealthy" (151-200), "Very Unhealthy" (201-300), or "Hazardous" (301+); "Unknown" if no AQI could be resolved for that location - `pm2_5`, `pm10`: particulate matter concentrations (ug/m3) - `ozone`, `nitrogen_dioxide`, `sulphur_dioxide`, `carbon_monoxide`: trace gas concentrations (ug/m3) - `local_time`: the timestamp of the reading, in the location's local time - `attribution`

  • Build a flight search link on Booking.com Flights for a route and optional dates, and return up to four VoyageHacks guides on fares, budget airlines and baggage rules for that trip. Pass origin and destination as IATA codes for a prefilled route search; without both, the link opens the general flight search page. Also returns a delayed or cancelled flight compensation link (AirHelp), a Vueling link for short-haul Europe, and, when the route touches their hubs, direct links for Air Serbia (Belgrade) and Air India. The Booking.com link is regionalized to the traveler's country. Useful when a trip involves air travel and the user wants somewhere to compare fares. It returns search links only: no live fares, seat availability or schedules, no booking, and no airport transfer (get_airport_transfer_links covers that). Affiliate links: VoyageHacks may earn a commission at no additional cost to the traveler, which should be disclosed when the links are presented.

  • Find air-quality monitoring stations (measured by physical sensors, not modeled) near a point, within a bounding box, or by country, optionally narrowed to one parameter, one station class (reference monitors or low-cost sensors, mobile or fixed), or one provider network. Returns each station's id, name, coordinates, distance from the query point (when searching by coordinates), country, provider name and id, the parameters its sensors measure, and the timestamp of its most recent data (datetimeLast). Required first step: openaq_get_readings and openaq_get_measurements key on the location id this returns. Coverage is uneven and real — a station only reports the parameters it measures, and the absence of a nearby station means no monitoring there, not clean air. For dense modeled coverage anywhere on Earth, use open-meteo-mcp-server's air-quality tool instead.

  • Get the full text of one EPA regulation — a US Environmental Protection Agency rule codified in 40 CFR — by its citation. Returns the exact regulatory wording currently in force. Answers "what does 40 CFR 261 say", "what is the EPA regulation for X", "does the EPA require X", "read 40 CFR 60.1", "the RCRA hazardous waste rule", "the Clean Air Act / Clean Water Act regulation for X". Forgiving citation input: "261.4", "40 CFR 261.4", "§60.1", even "261.4(a)" (paragraph stripped to the section). Covers 40 CFR part 60 new source performance standards (emission standards / Clean Air Act), part 261 identification & listing of hazardous waste (RCRA), part 262 hazardous waste generators, part 122 NPDES permits (Clean Water Act), part 141 national primary drinking water regulations, part 63 NESHAP air toxics, TSCA parts (700s) toxic substances — the whole of Title 40 (air, water, waste, chemicals). This is EPA REGULATIONS (the rules/regulatory text); for EPA DATA (facility enforcement, ECHO compliance, GHG emissions) use the epa-echo / epa-emissions tools. Pass a whole part (e.g. "261" or "60") to get that part's section list. Example: epa_regulation({ citation: "261.4" }) -> exclusions from hazardous waste; epa_regulation({ citation: "40 CFR 60.1" }) -> applicability of emission standards. Keyless.

  • Generate a time series chart of air quality data. Returns a PNG chart image with a brief text summary. Use this when users ask about trends, patterns, or want to visualise air quality over time. Args: start_date: Start date (ISO format, e.g. "2025-01-01"). end_date: End date (ISO format). location: Postcode, place name, or "lat,lon". Provide this or site_code. site_code: Direct site code. Provide this or location. pollutants: Optional filter, e.g. ["NO2", "PM2.5"]. Defaults to NO2, PM2.5, PM10, O3 if not specified. frequency: "hourly", "daily", or "monthly" (default "daily"). show_who_guidelines: Show WHO guideline reference lines (default True). show_daqi_bands: Show DAQI band background shading (default True).

  • Get the air quality forecast for a ZIP code. Returns forecast AQI values and health categories for upcoming days, typically covering today and the next 1-2 days. Args: zip_code: US ZIP code (e.g. '20001').

  • Resolve a flight number to its airports, terminals, scheduled times, and status. Codeshares are resolved automatically (e.g. DL8742 → operated by Air France as AF9): the response then carries codeshare:true, marketing_flight and operating_flight — record/track the OPERATING flight. Use BEFORE book_ride whenever the customer provides a flight number so that pickup time and terminal are correct. Input is tolerant: accepts 'AF007', 'AF 007', 'AF-007', 'af7', 'AFR007' — the tool normalizes internally. Returns an array of matching operations (usually 1 when direction is set).

Returns PM2.5, PM10, ozone (O3), NO2, SO2, CO, dust, and pollen (alder/birch/grass/mugwort/olive/ragweed) up to 5 days ahead, plus European AQI / US AQI. Free, keyless.

  • Returns a diver's breathing rate measured from a logged dive: RMV (surface litres a minute, what plan_dive and gas_usage take) and SAC (pressure drop a minute on that cylinder), overall and per segment. Use this when a diver gives start and end pressures and asks their SAC, RMV or breathing rate. Give the cylinder's mix for trimix; air is assumed. Not for planning gas (gas_usage, plan_dive). Each segment is one stretch on one cylinder: depth, duration_min, start_pressure, end_pressure, the cylinder (preset, cylinder_size, rated_pressure, twinset; default AL80) and its mix (oxygen_pct, helium_pct; default air). RMV uses the same real-gas model as the planners: any RMV plans the same dive back to the measured end pressure in plan_dive, and an air RMV does in gas_usage, which assumes air (a trimix RMV reads about 1 to 2 bar optimistic there). SAC is the gauge drop over time and depth. Segments must not overlap in time; the tool cannot check that. sac is null when the segments used different cylinders, and sac_per_cylinder lists each, with the weighted average depth. plan_dive_gas_consumption.working_sac is ready to paste into plan_dive. water defaults to en13319. No engine call. Example: {"segments":[{"depth":20,"duration_min":20,"start_pressure":200,"end_pressure":140,"preset":"single_12l"}]}
