Rate limits: APS Data Management ~50 req/min per endpoint; OSS upload bandwidth typically 100 MB/min per app. This tool issues 3–5 APS calls per upload, so budget accordingly. Errors: 401 (APS token expired — refresh); 403 (user lacks folder write permission — ask account admin to grant 'Edit' on folder); 404 (project_id not found or folder_path does not match any top folder — verify 'b.' prefix, hub membership, and folder name); 422 (invalid file_name or conflicting version); 429 (rate limit — back off 60s); 5xx (ACC/OSS upstream — retry with jitter BUT be cautious: storage object may already be created so reuse, do not re-create). Also: if source file_url returns non-2xx, the tool throws before touching ACC. Side effects: Creates a storage object, uploads bytes, and creates a versioned item in the target folder. NOT idempotent — a retry may create a duplicate item with a new version. Surface the returned item_id to the user to avoid re-uploads.

It never returns a timeseries: for the values of a metric over time for already-known slugs use `fetch_metric_data_tool`. To check that a metric exists (or fix a mistyped metric/slug) use `metrics_and_assets_discovery_tool`. ## Use Cases - Get top 10 assets by marketcap, sorted in descending order - Get top 50 assets with highest dev_activity_1d - Find assets with price more than $10 - Discover tokens whose price increased by more than 50% in the last 30 days - Screen for projects with market cap less than $100M - Identify assets that have dev_activity_1d decline by more than 20% in the past month ## Examples - Get projects that have a price_usd in the last 24 hours and it's greater_than $500. Get 100 such projects, ordered by marketcap in descending order. `{metric: "marketcap_usd", operator: :less_than, threshold: 50000000.0, from: "utc_now-1d", to: "utc_now", sort: "desc", page: 1, page_size: 100}` Here is how the filtering works: - For absolute value operators - `greater_than` and `less_than` - fetch the `metric` for each asset in the interval `from`-`to`, aggregting it using the specified `aggregation` method (defaulting to the metric's default). - For percent change operators - `percent_up` and `percent_down` - fetch the `metric` for each asset in the interval `from-`to`, as well as in the same length interval immediately before `from`. The two resulting values are compared to calculate the percentage change. Some metrics like price_usd and marketcap_usd are aggregated with `LAST` aggregation by default, meaning that the last known value in the queried interval is used. For percent change, this means that the tool compares the last known price immediately before `from` and the last known price before `to`. Other metrics like transaction_volume_usd and social_volume_total (and most other volume metrics) are aggregated by default with SUM aggregation, meaning that the total combined sum in the queried interval is used. For these metrics length of the time window is vital. A common mistake is to try to check if the social_total_total for the last 5 minutes is greater_than some threshold. Five minutes is not enough for social volume to accumulate enough. In such scenarios use a longer time window like 1 day or more.

Use files[] for inline text edits and diffs, not for copying large existing local file contents into tool params. Never inline or base64-encode binary assets/resources in files[]; use upload_assets first for images, fonts, media, PDFs, archives, and other client-supplied file assets, then pass upload_id. Inline deploy_app text payloads MUST be compact. For JavaScript/TypeScript/JSX/TSX string literals, use single quotes wherever valid. Keep inline HTML/CSS/JS/TS diff from/to values single-line wherever valid; do not include newline characters unless required for valid syntax. Template files from get_app_template are auto-included as the baseline — use diffs[] to modify them; content is otherwise only for entirely new files. New apps: tests/tests.txt is the intentional template-file exception and must be sent as a complete content replacement. New apps: set app_id to null, provide app_name, description, app_type, frontend_template, and features. Updates: provide existing app_id, features, and either changed files/deletePaths or upload_id. If upload_id is provided, do not also send files[] or deletePaths[]; the upload manifest owns all text changes, diffs, and delete operations. Rules: do not add @appdeploy/client or @appdeploy/sdk to package.json (platform-injected). SPAs must use HashRouter. Frontend must never import @appdeploy/sdk; backend must never import @appdeploy/client. Frontend must use api from @appdeploy/client for backend calls, never fetch() or axios. If frontend realtime is used, @appdeploy/client websocket usage is ws.connect() only; do not call ws.subscribe/ws.publish/ws.send directly on ws. After deploy, poll get_app_status every 5s until status is 'ready' or 'failed'. If get_app_status returns QA/e2e/runtime errors, attempt automatic fixes and redeploy up to 3 times before asking the user for guidance.
