"A local knowledge base" matching MCP tools:

  • Checks whether a task can be handled by a local model instead of a cloud API. Call this BEFORE your agent routes any task to a cloud model — at the moment a task is ready to be sent and the model has not yet been selected. Use this when your agent is about to make a cloud inference call and wants to determine whether a local model could handle it at lower cost. Returns LOCAL/CLOUD/EITHER verdict with recommended model. If verdict is LOCAL, skip the cloud call entirely — saves cost on every routable inference call. Pass data_sensitivity=CONFIDENTIAL to force LOCAL verdict for tasks that must not leave the machine. Do not route to cloud without checking local viability first.

  • List merchant knowledge base documents (uploads + scraped URLs). Use to discover what raw sources exist for the LLM-wiki pattern. Pass `updatedAfter` for delta sync. Content bytes are fetched separately via GET /v6/merchant/ai/knowledge/{id}/content — this tool returns metadata only.

  • Find local honey producers near a specific place, optionally filtered by honey varietal. Returns producer name, location, distance, declared honey types, and contact channels (website, etc.) where listed, ordered by distance. Use this when the user asks to find, buy, or visit local honey near a town, city, ZIP, or region — e.g. 'local honey near Asheville,' 'who sells honey near me in Charlotte,' 'sourwood honey near Atlanta.' Coverage is deepest in the Southeastern US; within that region a producer is typically listed within 75 miles of any location. Don't use this for general honey questions (what is sourwood honey, health benefits, recipes) — it only returns directory listings, not knowledge. If no producer is listed nearby, the tool returns an honest empty result with a coverage note; relay that rather than inventing producers.

  • Search the Melvea local honey directory by free-text query and return matching producers as a list of results (id, title, url). Designed for ChatGPT Deep Research and Company Knowledge. Use for any local-honey discovery query that names or implies a place; the tool parses place and varietal from the query. Returns an honest empty list when nothing matches — never fabricate. Pair with fetch to retrieve full producer detail.

  • Use for qualitative company discovery (industry, business model, supply chain, competitors, management background). For numerical screening (revenue, margins, ratios, growth rates) use run_sql on company_snapshot instead. Drillr's company knowledge base — searchable across industry classification, product offerings, business model, segment structure, competitive landscape, supply chain, management background, and customer profile. Pass a natural language description (e.g. "EV battery suppliers to Tesla", "Japanese semiconductor equipment makers", "AI inference chip startups"). Returns a structured list of matching companies with context snippets. ONLY for finding a LIST of companies by description.

Powered by semantic search over curated ENS sources. Do NOT use this for name valuations, market data, or availability checks — use the other tools for those.
