"Creating the Best General-Purpose Agent" matching MCP servers:

An MCP server that manages your conversation context automatically, pruning dead branches and keeping an audit trail of every cut.

Local, searchable project memory for AI coding agents. Markdown source of truth, MCP interface, safe structured updates

A self-improving knowledge agent that provides local retrieval, web research, and structured answer synthesis for Claude Code and VS Code Copilot via MCP. It enables AI tools to manage a project-specific knowledge lifecycle through automated research and indexing.

Exposes tools that let an agent search a local Markdown-based memory store, fetch full cards by id, write new knowledge cards that are indexed immediately, and inspect or rebuild the SQLite index. All retrieval runs locally over Chinese-friendly full-text search with graded exact/prefix matching, so agents without a memory system can recall prior notes while existing Markdown files stay read-only.

An MCP server that enables AI agents to compile, refine, and interlink knowledge into a persistent wiki, replacing RAG with structured, curated knowledge.

MCP server that exposes agent-memory-daemon to any MCP-compatible client — Kiro (CLI & IDE), Claude Desktop, Cursor, and others. The daemon does the thinking (consolidation + extraction); this server is a thin filesystem bridge so agents can read, append, and search memory through the Model Context Protocol.

A provider-neutral MCP server that provides tools for managing skills, agents, references, and artifact memory in a local workspace.

Enables agents to manage persistent long-term memory through MCP tools for searching, adding, updating, giving feedback, and forgetting memories, with automated pipelines for redaction, distillation, and reconciliation.

Enables AI agents to search and inspect a Windows machine's local inventory of agents, skills, MCP servers, projects, and cross-agent work records, with tools for full-text search, overviews, project details, and reindexing. All data stays local and only matching snippets enter model context.

Enables cross-session memory and recall for AI coding assistants through a git-synced knowledge base, hybrid semantic and TF-IDF search across tool transcripts, and automatic distillation of insights with secrets scrubbing.

Universal session & handoff layer for AI coding agents: shared task, decision, blocker and test state, checkpoints, and deterministic handoff between Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor, Cline, pi and omp. Local SQLite, git-aware, 25 tools + 7 resources over stdio or streamable-http.

Automatically maintains a personal journal on behalf of an AI agent, storing text, photos, and voice notes as plain markdown files locally. Enables agents to add entries, recall memories, and reflect on patterns without user intervention.

Long-term memory for AI agents. Compiles conversations into a structured knowledge base with Claim/Evidence model, source provenance, append-only timeline, and contradiction detection. Multi-path retrieval (Exact + BM25 + Graph + weighted RRF + reranker) — 96.6% R@5 on LongMemEval-S, zero vector dependencies.

Shared knowledge graph for AI coding agents. Search, create, and link verified technical knowledge across 12 node types with trust scoring, demand signals, and auto-provisioning. Install: npx agent-hive-mcp

Enables AI assistants to maintain long-term memory by logging and retrieving facts and decisions in a SQLite database, with relevance ranking and full history tracking.

A home for any agent on the internet: inbox, public memory, job board, rooms, human help. Free, no key.

Windows-local MCP for Steam Balatro: tool-calling AI reads player-visible state, chooses and executes native actions, confirms results, and saves local experience. Glama's Linux sandbox can introspect MCP and run game-independent tools such as calculate, but cannot connect to Balatro on the user's Windows machine. Without the local game, health reports disconnected.

A local MCP server that provides AI agents with persistent sticky-note memory, storing Markdown notes on disk and offering tools for creating, reading, updating, deleting, searching, and listing notes across sessions.

Personal finance MCP server that integrates Plaid bank data with local SQLite memory for conversational budgeting, goal tracking, and transaction management.

MCP server providing persistent memory management for AI agents using SQLite and FTS5, enabling storage, full-text search, and recall of memories with namespace isolation.

Enables AI agent sessions to read, search, and post durable messages to a private local JSON-file message board, letting them share preferences, lessons, warnings, questions, and replies without a cloud service or database.

Enables AI coding agents to consult persistent local project memory before acting, checking proposals against rejected ideas, repeated failure loops, goal drift, stale assumptions, and evidence-based completion criteria, and returning ALLOW, WARN, or BLOCK decisions so context loss after compaction doesn't cause repeated mistakes.

Enables AI agents to track session lifecycles, persist context notes and transcripts, and manage a human-gated memory-promotion pipeline with an append-only audit trail.

Publishes an MCP server that lets other AI agents browse a project's unified cross-agent session archive: list projects, view timelines, run full-text searches, read existing digests and session summaries, read session bodies in bounded chunks, check collection stats, and export Markdown. All tools are read-only and truncate long output so callers can decide whether to read further.

Provides a local markdown-based memory system for coding agents through MCP, enabling search, add, register, inventory, sync, and ingest operations across user and project memory. It gives any agent tool a durable, provider-agnostic shared memory stored in folders you own.

Enables AI agents to maintain project continuity through a file-based state hub with tasks, phases, and handoff snapshots. Provides MCP tools for reading and updating project state, with gatekeeping enforced via real-state evaluation and per-tool authorization.

Enables AI agents to search and modify a personal knowledge base through OAuth-secured MCP tools, covering Obsidian vaults and Google Drive mirrors with semantic search, note read/write operations, audit logging, and eval-gated local classification.

Enables MCP clients to query a fictional software engineer’s skills, projects, and experience from an S3-backed profile, returning explicit not-found results instead of inventing answers.

Enables AI agents to persist and recall episodic memories across sessions, consolidating experiences into reusable rules and lessons to reduce repeated mistakes and improve task performance.

Enables persistent memory for AI coding agents, allowing them to remember people, decisions, and context across sessions through a knowledge graph and automated briefings.
