| set_xmp_metadataA | Replace the XMP metadata of a project item (pass a full XMP packet, e.g. edited from get_xmp_metadata) |
| add_captionsA | Create a caption (subtitle) track on the active sequence from timed text. These are real Premiere captions: editable and stylable in the Text panel, exportable as SRT, burnable on export. Right-to-left text works. |
| import_captionsB | Create a caption track from an existing caption file (.srt, .scc, .mcc, .xml, .stl) |
| add_text_captionsA | Burned-in styled captions as graphics clips (TikTok/Reels style): each cue becomes a text image on the timeline. Use add_captions instead when you want editable Premiere captions. |
| add_textA | Add a text title to the timeline (rendered with the system text engine: any installed font, right-to-left scripts supported). Placed on a free video track above V1 unless trackIndex is given. To change it later, remove the clip and add it again. |

| get_mogrt_mediaB | The replaceable media slots (Media Replacement) of an After Effects .mogrt, a library graphic, or a template clip on the timeline (trackIndex + clipIndex), and the images behind them |
| place_mogrt_with_mediaB | Place an After Effects .mogrt / library graphic with your own images in its Media Replacement slots (and set its text). Builds a copy of the template with the images inside, so it renders like a normal template. Slots that share one image in the template change together. |
| replace_mogrt_mediaA | Replace the image in a Media Replacement slot of a template clip that is already on the timeline. The clip stays in place with its text, settings, effects and keyframes. If other clips use the same template, by default only this clip changes (it is swapped for an identical copy with its settings carried over); scope 'all' changes every clip of that template in place instead. |

Scored across 158 tools
Most tools target clearly distinct operations, but with 158 tools there are several confusing clusters: add_captions/import_captions/add_text_captions/add_text, the many mogrt tools (place_mogrt_with_media/replace_mogrt_media/import_mogrt/import_library_graphic), and elevenlabs_generate_speech vs elevenlabs_voice_lines. Descriptions do disambiguate most of these, but the sheer volume of overlapping-sounding high-level tools makes misselection plausible.
Strongly consistent snake_case with verb_noun patterns (get_, set_, add_, remove_, export_). A few noun-first deviations (scene_edit_detection, auto_reframe_sequence) and the elevenlabs_ prefixed tools break the pattern slightly, but overall it is predictable.
158 tools is far beyond an appropriate tool count for any single server; it should be decomposed (e.g. project, timeline, effects, captions, export, integrations) into smaller servers. The extreme number hurts discoverability even when each tool is well-scoped.
Coverage is exhaustive: project lifecycle, sequences, clips (insert/overwrite/trim/slip/slide/ripple), effects, keyframes, transforms, markers, audio mixing, captions, motion graphics, proxies, exports, and even an ExtendScript escape hatch for gaps. Essentially no dead ends remain for Premiere automation.
