dev-publish
Allows AI agents to publish and maintain apps on Google Play, including updating listings, uploading images, managing reviews and replies, inviting testers, publishing internal releases, and promoting releases to production (subject to permissions).
Click on "Install Server".
Wait a few minutes for the server to deploy. Once ready, it will show a "Started" state.
In the chat, type
@followed by the MCP server name and your instructions, e.g., "@dev-publishreply to the latest negative review"
That's it! The server will respond to your query, and you can continue using it as needed.
Here is a step-by-step guide with screenshots.
dev-publish-mcp
MCP for the AI to publish (internal) and maintain apps already on Google Play, with per-scope permissions. The AI does not grant permissions to itself.

AI requests go to config/permission-requests.json. Only you activate them with npm run grant.

Setup
cd dev-publish-mcp
cp config/permissions.example.json config/permissions.json
# edita package name + scopes
node src/selftest.jsPlay service account (not dry-run):
export GOOGLE_PLAY_SERVICE_ACCOUNT_JSON=/abs/path/play-sa.json
export PLAY_PACKAGE_NAME=com.tua.appWithout these variables the server runs in dry-run (does not talk to Google).
Grant maintenance to the AI:
node src/grant.js com.tua.app read listing.write reviews.read reviews.reply testers.write releases.internalProduction (optional, separate):
# em config/permissions.json
# "allowProduction": true
node src/grant.js com.tua.app releases.promoteCursor / Claude Desktop
You can use the package directly from NPM via npx (recommended):
{
"mcpServers": {
"dev-publish": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "@gnegro/dev-publish-mcp"],
"env": {
"GOOGLE_PLAY_SERVICE_ACCOUNT_JSON": "/caminho/absoluto/play-sa.json",
"PLAY_PACKAGE_NAME": "com.tua.app",
"DEV_PUBLISH_PERMISSIONS": "/caminho/absoluto/permissions.json"
}
}
}
}Agent prompt
Usa o MCP dev-publish.
Primeiro permissions_whoami e maintenance_digest.
“What bad reviews do we have?” → digest + list_reviews
“Reply to this one apologizing and pointing to fix 1.0.4” → reply
“Update the short description in pt-PT” → update_listing
“Upload this AAB to internal testers” → play_publish
“Put 10% into production” → the owner writes the phrase; the AI calls promote
