Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| SECRETS_DIR | No | Directory where secrets are generated and persisted on first start. Alternative to providing JWT_SECRET and SECRET_KEY explicitly. | |
| DATABASE_URL | Yes | Postgres connection string (required in production). |
