Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
RDM_DATABASE_URLNoOptional database connection URL. Defaults to SQLite stored under the data directory. Set to a PostgreSQL/ParadeDB connection string (must include the pg_search extension), e.g. postgresql://postgres:change-me@127.0.0.1:5432/rdm, to share the database or enable BM25 full-text search.sqlite
RDM_PUBLIC_BASE_URLNoPublic origin used for OAuth discovery and login/recovery links. Set it to the Web origin (e.g. http://127.0.0.1:5173 in dev, or https://<public-origin> in production) so local agents connect via https://<public-origin>/mcp. Without it, OAuth discovery points at loopback; PAT-based access still works.http://127.0.0.1:8765
