Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| HALO_PAT | Yes | Halo Personal Access Token with read/write permissions for articles, categories, and tags. | |
| HALO_BASE_URL | Yes | Base URL of the Halo 2.x site, e.g. https://your-halo.example.com | |
| HALO_TIMEOUT_MS | No | Timeout in milliseconds for Halo API requests. Default is 30000. | 30000 |
| MCP_GATEWAY_KEY | Yes | High-entropy random key used as the MCP endpoint path secret. | |
| MCP_ALLOWED_ORIGINS | No | Comma-separated allowed origins for CORS, e.g. https://chatgpt.com,https://chat.openai.com |
