Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| MCP_LOG_FILE | No | Optional file path to write logs. Defaults to stderr. | |
| MCP_LOG_LEVEL | No | Optional log level (DEBUG, INFO, WARNING, ERROR). | |
| MCP_SERVER_PORT | No | Optional port for the MCP server (used in some examples). | |
| SPOTIFY_CLIENT_ID | Yes | Your Spotify Client ID from the Spotify Developer Dashboard. | |
| SPOTIFY_REDIRECT_URI | No | The redirect URI for OAuth callback. Must match the one registered in the Spotify Dashboard. | http://127.0.0.1:8000/auth/callback |
| SPOTIFY_CLIENT_SECRET | Yes | Your Spotify Client Secret from the Spotify Developer Dashboard. | |
| MCP_SPOTIFY_TOKENS_PATH | No | Optional path to store OAuth tokens. Defaults to ~/.config/mcp_spotify_player/tokens.json. | ~/.config/mcp_spotify_player/tokens.json |
