Oracle DB MCP Server

A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets AI assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot) query the Richardson Oracle databases directly.

• The pre-built oracle-mcp.exe binary from the GitHub Releases page

1. Install the exe

1. Go to the Releases page and download the latest oracle-mcp.exe release asset.

2. Save it to C:\development\tools\oracle-mcp.exe (create the tools folder if needed). The configuration below expects this exact path.

2. Configure GitHub Copilot (VS Code)

1. Open VSCode and press Ctrl+Shift+P then select MCP:Open User Configuration.

2. Paste the following config inside the json file and modify the credentials as needed.

3. Start and verify

1. Click Start on the ri-oracle server. You should the status as running now.

2. Ask Copilot: "Give me 5 products from 240 table" - You know what to expect.
