Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| MCP_DATA_DIR | No | Absolute path to the root folder granted to the filesystem, shell, find and search tools (the default allowed root). Defaults to your home directory ($HOME, or %USERPROFILE% on Windows). Example: MCP_DATA_DIR=/other/path npm start. | |
| PUBLIC_ORIGIN | No | Your own public origin, used when you don't use Tailscale Funnel but expose the server through an owned public origin or hosted domain. Optional; only needed if you require a non-default value in .env. | |
| GROK_CALLBACK_PREFIX | No | Allowlisted prefix for Grok's OAuth redirect_uri (observed as https://grok.com/connectors-oauth-exchange-code/). Set this if a future Grok change moves the callback so the new value can be registered. |
