Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| AGENT_TOKENS | Yes | JSON object mapping agent names to bearer tokens, e.g. {"claude":"<token>","hermes":"<token>","claude-code":"<token>"}. Used to authenticate MCP and REST requests. | |
| VAULT_PREFIX | No | Optional folder name inside the R2 bucket if the vault is stored under a prefix, for example "MyVault/". | |
| SEMANTIC_SEARCH | No | Optional setting; set to "off" to disable semantic/vector search and use keyword-only search. |
