# MCP Proto Server

A high-performance Protocol Buffer indexing and search server that integrates with AI coding assistants through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

## 📦 Installation

### Download Latest Release

1. Go to the [Releases page](https://github.com/umuterturk/mcp-proto/releases/latest)
2. Download the appropriate package for your system:
   - **Linux**: `mcp-proto-server-linux-amd64.tar.gz`
   - **macOS Intel**: `mcp-proto-server-macos-amd64.tar.gz`
   - **macOS Apple Silicon**: `mcp-proto-server-macos-arm64.tar.gz`
   - **Windows**: `mcp-proto-server-windows-amd64.zip`

### Install

**Linux/macOS:**
```bash
tar -xzf mcp-proto-server-*.tar.gz
./install.sh
```

**Windows:**
```cmd
# Extract the zip file, then run:
install-windows.bat
```

### Verify Installation
```bash
mcp-proto-server --help
```

## 🔧 Setup with AI Assistants

### Cursor Configuration

Add to your Cursor MCP config (`~/.cursor/mcp.json`):
