Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| BASH_MCP_CWD | No | Default working directory for commands. | |
| BASH_MCP_HOST | No | Bind host for --transport http. Default 127.0.0.1. | |
| BASH_MCP_PORT | No | Bind port for --transport http. Default 8001. | |
| BASH_MCP_ALLOWED | No | Comma-separated command prefixes to allow, e.g. git,ls,cat,npm. Unset = unrestricted. | |
| BASH_MCP_TRANSPORT | No | stdio or http (same as --transport). Default stdio. | |
| BASH_MCP_MAX_TIMEOUT | No | Hard ceiling (seconds) on any command's runtime. Default 300. |
