Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| HIVE_AUTH_TOKEN | No | Bearer token used for authenticating MCP and OpenAPI requests. In development, this can be left unset to use 'None' authentication. | |
| HIVE_ENVIRONMENT | No | Set to 'prod' to make the service refuse to start without an auth token and OpenWebUI credentials. | dev |
| HIVE_SIGNING_KEY | No | HMAC signing key for download links. Must be set explicitly when running more than one replica to keep download links valid across restarts. |
