Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| CARECIRCLE_DEMO_NOW | No | Pins the server clock to a fixed ISO timestamp for demos, e.g. CARECIRCLE_DEMO_NOW=2026-10-23T08:05. Without it the clock is the real wall clock. | |
| CARECIRCLE_PUBLIC_URL | No | Your HTTPS origin, used in the RFC 9728 OAuth protected-resource discovery metadata served at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource. | |
| CARECIRCLE_AUTH_SERVERS | No | Comma-separated issuer URLs of your authorization servers (e.g. Login with Amazon or Cognito) advertised in the discovery metadata. | |
| CARECIRCLE_ALLOWED_HOSTS | No | Comma-separated allowed hosts, e.g. CARECIRCLE_ALLOWED_HOSTS=care.example.com, to reject requests for any other Host (DNS-rebinding protection). | |
| CARECIRCLE_SNS_TOPIC_ARN | No | Amazon SNS topic ARN (with standard AWS credentials) to publish every alert to, using an 'urgency' message attribute. Optional; without SNS, alerts are recorded in the outbox the dashboard shows. | |
| CARECIRCLE_WATCH_SECONDS | No | Interval in seconds for the proactive watcher that marks unlogged doses as missed and alerts the family. 0 turns the watcher off. Runs every minute by default. |
