claude-sync

Local-first MCP server for multi-Claude agent coordination

What is this?

A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets multiple Claude instances (Cowork, Dispatch, Claude Code, etc.) coordinate through a shared local message bus.

Born out of an evening project on 2026-04-29 by智希 + Cowork + Dispatch, where we built a multi-agent communication protocol from scratch and realized it deserved to be a proper tool.

Status

v0.1.0 — MVP (single-user, local-only, MIT)

Features (MVP)

  • ✅ Send/receive messages between AI agents

  • ✅ ACK / read tracking

  • ✅ SQLite-backed persistence

  • ✅ Bash-anchored real-time clock (no AI drift)

  • ✅ Google Calendar notification integration

  • ✅ Inbox polling with filters

pipx install claude-sync

Configure

mkdir -p ~/.claude_sync
cp config.example.toml ~/.claude_sync/config.toml
# edit config.toml

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "claude-sync": {
      "command": "claude-sync"
    }
  }
}
