A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Metabase, enabling AI assistants to interact with your Metabase instance.

## Configuration

Set the following environment variables:

### Getting an API Token

1. Log in to Metabase as an admin
2. Go to **Admin Panel** → **Settings** → **Authentication** → **API Keys**
3. Click **Create API Key**
4. Copy the generated token

> Coverage note: tools mirror the Metabase **OSS** REST API (`/api/docs/openapi.json`). Enterprise/Pro-only endpoints (`/api/ee/*`, sandboxing `/api/mt/*`, transforms, Metabot/agent, embedding themes, data-studio), test-only endpoints (`/api/testing/*`), and session-based auth flows (`/api/session/*` login/logout/password) are intentionally out of scope — this server authenticates with an API key.
