Trakt MCP

Connects a Trakt account read-only to provide movie and TV recommendations, watched history with play counts, and search for titles on Trakt.
Click on "Deploy Server".
Wait a few minutes for the server to deploy. Once ready, it will show a "Started" state.
In the chat, type
@followed by the MCP server name and your instructions, e.g., "@Trakt MCPrecommend five movies for me using Trakt"
That's it! The server will respond to your query, and you can continue using it as needed.

Trakt MCP
Connect your own Trakt account to Claude or Codex for movie and TV recommendations, watched history, and search. Read-only: it does not change your Trakt history or ratings.
Desktop setup
Claude
Open Customize → Plugins → Add → Add marketplace → Add from a repository.
Enter
swack-tools/trakt-ai-pluginand add the marketplace.Install Trakt MCP, then start a new chat and follow the connection prompt.
Codex
Add the marketplace once from a terminal:

Connect your Trakt account
Each person signs in with their own Trakt account:
On the authorization page, choose Connect Trakt to display a device code.
Open trakt.tv/activate, sign in, enter the code, and approve access.
Return to the authorization page; it finishes connecting automatically. Then return to your chat.

Recommendations come from Trakt’s personalized results. History shows watched titles and play counts.
