Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.
| Name | Required | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| JEV_MODEL | No | Override the TypeSafe model; ignored when OPENROUTER_API_KEY is used. | |
| JEV_API_URL | No | Override the TypeSafe API endpoint; ignored when OPENROUTER_API_KEY is used. | |
| JEV_BROWSER | No | Browser to run instead of Playwright's Chromium: chrome, chrome-beta, msedge, or the path to any Chromium-based browser executable. | |
| JEV_BROWSER_LOG | No | Set to 1 to print per-round decisions to stderr. | |
| TYPESAFE_API_KEY | No | TypeSafe API key used to call the TypeSafe System One API. If both TYPESAFE_API_KEY and OPENROUTER_API_KEY are set, TYPESAFE_API_KEY wins. | |

| OPENROUTER_API_KEY | No | OpenRouter API key used instead of a TypeSafe API key; calls are billed to your OpenRouter account. | |
| JEV_BROWSER_PROFILE | No | Directory for a persistent browser profile so logins survive restarts; use a dedicated directory. | |
| JEV_BROWSER_NO_INSTALL | No | Set to 1 to turn off the Chromium download on first use. |
