Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.
| Name | Required | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| SPORFIE_API_TIMEOUT_S | No | HTTP timeout, applied to each phase of a call. | 30 |
| SPORFIE_API_DEADLINE_S | No | Total time for one upstream call, never below the timeout above. | 45 |
| SPORFIE_MCP_OAUTH_ISSUER | No | OAuth issuer URL. When set (as at mcp.sporfie.com), OAuth is enabled and every MCP request without a Bearer token gets an HTTP 401 discovery challenge. When unset (default, e.g. local run), nothing is challenged. | |
| SPORFIE_MCP_ALLOWED_HOSTS | No | Public hostname(s) to allow. Add the public hostname when running behind a proxy. | |
| SPORFIE_MCP_QUEUE_TIMEOUT_S | No | Longest a call waits for a slot before it fails as "busy". | 5 |
| SPORFIE_MCP_MAX_REQUEST_BYTES | No | Largest request body; a bigger one gets 413 before it is parsed. | 256 KiB |
| SPORFIE_API_MAX_RESPONSE_BYTES | No | Bytes read from one upstream response (compressed ones are refused). | 2 MiB |
| SPORFIE_MCP_TRUSTED_PROXY_HOPS | No | Number of proxies that append to X-Forwarded-For. By default the server ignores X-Forwarded-For. Set behind a proxy, e.g. 1 behind a single load balancer. | |
| SPORFIE_MCP_MAX_QUEUED_UPSTREAM | No | Calls allowed to wait for a slot; the next one fails as "busy". | 64 |
| SPORFIE_MCP_MAX_CONCURRENT_UPSTREAM | No | Calls in flight per upstream (API and Help Center each). | 32 |
