Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| CODEX_MCP_EXECUTION_MODE | No | Execution mode for the MCP server. Default is 'inline'. Use 'client' for OpenClaw gateway entries and 'worker' for a long-running codex-control-plane-mcp-worker process in central worker mode. | |
| CODEX_MCP_MAX_ACTIVE_TURNS_GLOBAL | No | Maximum number of active turns globally. Default is 4. | |
| CODEX_MCP_MAX_ACTIVE_TURNS_PER_AGENT | No | Maximum number of active turns per agent. Default is 3. | |
