Ausschreibungsagenten MCP Server — Public Tenders from Germany, the EU & the UK (AI Agent Tools)

Ausschreibungsagenten (German) and Tender Agents (English) index public procurement notices from 17 connected sources across Germany, the EU and the United Kingdom. This MCP server makes that index callable by AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor: search by trade, country, CPV code, deadline or contract value, pull one notice in full, and check how fresh each source is. No API key needed to start.

Read-only. Every hit links to the authoritative original notice, which always prevails over anything shown here. This service never submits a bid and gives no procurement-law advice.

When to use this server

Use it whenever someone wants to find or assess public tenders in Germany, the EU or the UK — for example:

• "Find facade tenders in Germany closing in the next three weeks"

• "Which IT procurement notices are open in Austria right now?"

• "Summarise this tender and tell me the deadline"

• "Which procurement portals do you cover, and how current is the data?"

Not for: writing or submitting bids, calculating bid prices, or legal advice on procurement law.

No credentials are needed to start. search_tenders is open to anonymous callers at 60 requests per hour.

ChatGPT and Codex Plugin

The OpenAI Plugin submission uses the anonymous, read-only open-data endpoint:

Listing metadata, annotation justifications and review test cases are in chatgpt-app-submission.json. The five tools listed there match the tools exposed by that endpoint.

Tools

CPV filtering accepts full 8-digit codes for exact matches and shorter numeric prefixes for whole divisions — 45 matches all of construction.

Authentication

Anonymous access covers the public preview. Higher limits and fulltext_search use an API key as an HTTP Bearer token:

No other header is evaluated — a request sent with X-API-Key counts as unauthenticated and runs in the anonymous limit. Free keys: ausschreibungsagenten.de/entwickler.

TED, service.bund.de, Datenservice Öffentlicher Einkauf, DTVP, RIB, the state and regional portals of Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg, Vergabeportal BW, Bremen, Saxony, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar, plus GB Find a Tender and Contracts Finder. Above and below the EU threshold.

Coverage is not claimed to be complete. source_status states per portal what is actually being polled and when it last succeeded — check it before relying on completeness.

Open-data surface

https://api.ausschreibungsagenten.de/mcp/open-data exposes five anonymous, read-only tools. Search results are limited to sources whose operator provides an interface for them: TED, service.bund.de, Datenservice Öffentlicher Einkauf, GB Find a Tender and GB Contracts Finder. The interface field in source_status names the connection type per source. fulltext_search is not exposed on this surface, and summarize_tender only returns an existing cached summary; it never generates a new one anonymously. Tender lookup, summaries, country counts and source status all enforce the same five-source boundary.

That is narrower than the full endpoint but not a stub: all 27 EU countries via TED, the German federal level, German above- and below-threshold notices via Datenservice, plus the UK. Use it where the terms of an intermediary matter more than breadth.
