Functions exposed to the LLM to take actions
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| ifb_searchA | Find Iran Fara Bourse instruments (stocks, bonds, sukuk, treasury bills, funds, options) by symbol or name. Use it to turn a symbol into an |
| ifb_yieldsA | List fixed-income papers on Fara Bourse with last price, maturity and yield to maturity (YTM), filtered and ranked. This is the site's "محاسبه بازده اوراق" table: YTM (annualised, percent) is computed from each paper's last
trade, so check |
| ifb_instrumentA | Describe one Fara Bourse instrument: name, ISIN, market, and for bonds the coupon rate, maturity, issuer, guarantor and payment schedule. Use it after ifb_yields or ifb_search to see what a bond or treasury bill actually is and when it pays.
|
| ifb_quoteA | Get the live trading data of one instrument: last and closing price, change, volume, value, order book, and YTM for bonds. Use it for "what is it trading at now" and for the best bids and offers. Prices are rial per paper or share,
|
| ifb_historyA | Get daily price history of one instrument: first, high, low and closing price and volume per trading day, newest first. Bonds and treasury bills also get |
| ifb_iposA | List Fara Bourse initial public offerings (IPOs): finished ones with price and volume, or those upcoming and under way. Use stage=pipeline for "what IPOs are coming" (valuation method, valuer, introduction meeting, offering date, prospectus and announcement links) and stage=completed for the history, newest first (price band end, volume and value traded in the offering window). Take the symbol to ifb_search, then ifb_instrument or ifb_quote. Filters apply to completed only. |
| ifb_underwritingsA | List securities offered through underwriting (پذیرهنویسی) on Fara Bourse, newest first. Each row has the issuer, security type, subscription dates, number and total amount raised in rial, and the
issuer's industry. Use it for "what was raised by underwriting recently" (shares, sukuk, funds). Take the
|
| ifb_announcementsA | Search Fara Bourse announcements, news and market messages by keyword and date, newest first. Use it to find out why a symbol is halted, when a new bond or IPO starts trading, or what the exchange
announced about a topic. Announcements carry a PDF |
| ifb_articleA | Read the text of one Fara Bourse news article (weekly trading statistics, listings, rule changes). Returns the headline, publication time and body text. Use it after ifb_announcements(source="news"). |
| ifb_market_summaryA | Summarise the Fara Bourse session: index, bond indices, total turnover, and each market's value traded with its top movers. Use it for "how is the market today". Totals refresh during the session; per-market figures cover the last
session in the site's daily archive, which is the current one once it has closed. Values are in rial.
|
| ifb_yield_curveA | Get Fara Bourse's fitted yield curves (Svensson/Nelson model) for government papers, non-government papers and treasury bills. Each curve gives yield to maturity in percent for horizons in days, now, a month ago and six months ago. Use it
to price a bond against the curve: compare an |
| ifb_sukuk_flowsA | Show daily trading value of Islamic financial securities (sukuk, treasury bills) by who bought and sold, newest day first. Use it to see central-bank open market operations and bank or fund activity day by day. Values are in rial (the site shows billions with a B suffix; these are full numbers). |
| ifb_market_watchA | Show the live Fara Bourse market watch: every symbol's price, change, volume and best bid and ask, ranked and filtered. Use it for "top gainers today", "most traded symbols", "what is trading in the second market" or "which
symbols are halted". It reads the same feed as the site's market watch page (about 1,200 symbols, 3 MB,
cached 30 s), so call it sparingly. |
| ifb_index_historyA | Get the daily history of a Fara Bourse index since 2009, with change over a day, week, month and year. Use it for "how has the Fara Bourse index done this year" (days=250) or a long trend (days=2000, step="monthly").
|
| ifb_corporate_actionsA | List corporate actions on Fara Bourse: capital increases under way, board transfers, and moves to or from the Tehran Stock Exchange. Use it for "which companies are raising capital and when is the rights window", "which symbols changed board recently" or "what listed here lately". Capital increase amounts are as the site shows them (units not stated, probably millions of rial); windows read "from to" in short Jalali (05/06/19); other dates are Jalali. Take a symbol to ifb_search, then ifb_instrument or ifb_quote. |
| ifb_haltedA | List the symbols halted on Fara Bourse with the date and reason, or the issuers flagged for weak disclosure. Use it for "which symbols are stopped today" and "why is X halted"; for the exchange's own wording search ifb_announcements(source="market_messages", query=symbol). The halted list is usually one page of up to 50 rows. Dates are Jalali. |

TDQS
Scored across 16 tools
Most tools target distinct resource/action pairs, but the live-data surface has some overlap: ifb_quote, ifb_market_watch, ifb_market_summary, and ifb_instrument(live=true) all return price or order-book-related data at different scopes. The descriptions draw clear boundaries between single-instrument quote, all-symbol watch, session summary, and fundamentals, so misselection risk is modest rather than absent.
All names use the ifb_ prefix and snake_case, giving a predictable namespace. However, suffixes mix resource nouns (ifb_yields, ifb_instrument, ifb_history), one verb (ifb_search), and an adjective (ifb_halted), so it is not a strict verb_noun convention throughout.
16 tools is slightly above the comfortable 3-15 range but still reasonable for an exchange-data server covering instruments, fixed income, IPOs, announcements, indices, and corporate actions. Each tool appears to earn its place, and there are no obvious duplicates.
Coverage is broad: discovery, instrument details, quotes, history, fixed-income yields and curves, IPOs, underwriting, announcements/articles, market summaries/watch, index history, corporate actions, and halts. Minor gaps remain for specialized data such as fund NAV, option analytics, or company financials, but core market-data workflows are covered.
