Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| RVR_OUTPUT | No | When set to `json`, every command emits the structured JSON envelope on stdout. | |
| RVR_PROJECT | No | Explicit path to a `.reverie/` directory, a legacy `.codexcli.json` file, or a containing directory. | |
| RVR_SESSION | No | Shared session id for CLI-driven agents. | |
| RVR_DATA_DIR | No | Override the global data directory. Must be an absolute path. | |
| RVR_AGENT_NAME | No | Identifier recorded in the audit and telemetry logs for the calling agent. | |
| RVR_NO_PROJECT | No | Disable project-file lookup entirely. Set to any non-empty value. | |
| RVR_PROJECT_DIR | No | MCP-server launcher hint — the directory the server should treat as the project root. | |
| RVR_DISABLE_LOCKING | No | Test-only. When set to `1`, falls back to running without file lock. |
